Relationship-minded people in a city will find a lot to like about Hinge. Profiles have prompts, voice and video, so you get more than a few photos to go on, and the free version is genuinely usable. Casual daters and people in smaller towns may get less out of it. Check the price the app shows you before subscribing, because it changes with your age, location and how long you sign up for. One thing to keep in mind: the top tier mostly earns its price in the busiest markets, and Hinge+ suits most regular users.
